Our Mission

I became interested in Standard Poodles when we lived in Hawaii. The Retirement Center I worked in (Pohai Nani) had a White Standard Poodle as their

Residence Dog. Hanai (means adopted in Hawaiian) was adored by all – residents and staff. We quickly fell in love with her also.The Executive Director, Luann Foos, also had a Standard. He (“Razor”) was a Beautiful Blue Standard . My husband and I were in perfect agreement (for once!) that there was something very, very special about Standard Poodles. Their intelligence and sensitivity and beauty was truly amazing!

We moved backed to the Midwest the fall of 2001 and

learned shortly after that our friend, Razor, had sired a litter of pups in November, 2001 in Honolulu. Plans began to unfold as to purchasing our first Standard Poodle. With the help of our friends, Joanne and Luann at Pohai Nani, our dream came true.

Our Makana Nani arrived in Minneapolis via Northwest Airlines in January, 2002. This fluff of Black brightened our home from the first day and still does to this day.

As I joined the Twin Cities Poodle Club, I was introduced to quality breeders and quality dogs in the Metropolitan Area. After much research and thought, looking at a balance of good disposition and good structure we purchased our Show Quality Pup. We purchased Ascot Valez (our “Buddy”) from Glenna Carlson of Ascot Poodles. Buddy is amazing! He is a sweet, sweet boy – loving everyone and always trying to please – he is sooooooooo intelligent, it’s a little scary! He gained his Championship before his first Birthday under Terri Meyer!!!!! It was an awesome year, including Best Puppy in Show at Lake Minnetonka --- BUD MOVES IN STYLE!

We love the Standard Poodle breed and look forward to producing a limited number of quality pups. We believe in the importance of quality care of our dogs and understand and are very serious about the responsibilities that come with our Standard Poodles.
